Marketing & Economic Development Strategy
I bring a strategic, results-driven approach to marketing and communications, with a focus on aligning messaging, audience needs, and measurable outcomes. My experience spans community engagement, public sector communication, and multi-channel campaign execution.
How I Market a Community to Target Industries
I take a strategic, data-driven approach by first identifying what target industries value most—such as workforce availability, infrastructure, accessibility, incentives, and quality of life. I then align those priorities with the strengths of the community to create targeted, compelling messaging.
For a community like Tomball, this includes highlighting its strategic location, business-friendly environment, and strong community identity. I would utilize a multi-channel strategy—combining digital marketing, targeted outreach, partnerships, and content development—to position Tomball as a competitive and attractive destination for business growth.
Campaign Examples: Successful & Challenging Initiatives
DESCRIBE A MARKETING OR COMMUNICATIONS CAMPAIGN YOU LED
I served as a Campaign Marketing Consultant on a multi-channel outreach initiative focused on increasing community awareness and engagement.
My role included developing messaging strategy, managing social media platforms, coordinating billboard placements, and supporting event promotion. I also helped scale the digital strategy from daily posts to multiple posts per day during peak campaign periods and coordinated videography content to enhance engagement.
As a result, the campaign expanded its reach across the county, increased audience interaction, and supported large-scale community engagement efforts—all while operating at a significantly lower budget than comparable efforts.
A CAMPAIGN THAT DID NOT GO AS PLANNED
In one campaign, early messaging did not generate the level of engagement we anticipated. After reviewing performance metrics and audience response, it became clear that the messaging needed to be more relatable.
I adjusted the approach by simplifying the message, focusing on clear and direct communication, and incorporating more visual and educational content. We also increased the use of video and user-friendly graphics to improve engagement.
This shift resulted in improved interaction and stronger audience response. The experience reinforced the importance of being adaptable, using data to guide decisions, and continuously refining messaging to meet audience needs.
How I Measure Success in Marketing & Communications
I measure success through a combination of quantitative and qualitative metrics, aligned with the goals of the organization.
Reach & Engagement
Audience reach and engagement tracking through social media performance and website traffic analytics.
Awareness Growth
Quantifying growth in awareness and stakeholder engagement over specific campaign periods.
Participation Levels
Measurable event attendance and participation levels to gauge direct community involvement.
Messaging Impact
Evaluating the effectiveness of messaging based on direct audience response and comprehension.
Equally important is the ability to communicate complex information clearly and build trust with the audience. Success is not just measured by numbers, but by how effectively messaging drives understanding, engagement, and action. I focus on delivering clear, strategic communication that connects with the audience, supports organizational goals, and drives measurable results.
